Planning go-ahead to bring much-needed homes to Mold

We  are happy to confirm that work will start on a significant new housing development on Llys Gwynant in Bryn Y Baal, Mold this Spring.

59 New Homes in Mold

The approved plans outline how the development, comprised of 59 new homes, will be a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhouses and three- and four-bedroom detached homes.  It is anticipated that the homes will be particularly attractive to First Time Buyers, as well as growing families looking to take their second step up the property ladder.

Significantly, the new development is expected to support the creation of 182 new jobs (1) locally, as well as provide contributions towards improvements at the nearby Mynydd Isa Primary School.

Simon Finlay, Head of Development at Macbryde Homes, comments:

“We are delighted to have secured our first development in Flintshire for several years and this will be an important step towards Macbryde Homes’ organic growth plans of achieving sites in each of the North Wales local authority areas.

“Mold, as with much of North Wales, desperately needs more good quality homes at affordable prices and we could see the clear potential that this site offered.

“We’re confident that the mix of properties that we’ve planned will not only provide much needed homes to local people, but also complement the existing local landscape as we pride ourselves on the design and materials used across all our developments.”

The homes will be constructed using a mixture of red brickwork, render and grey roofing tiles, to fit comfortably within the context of the local built environment.  A generous scheme of landscaping to gardens and substantial public open spaces is also proposed, with an equipped play area within the main public area.

Work is due to commence this Spring and sales will launch shortly afterwards.
